"Something fun"

Because it was the last day of school, the kids wanted to "do something fun". So they went swimming. Now mind you on Thursday is was chilly, cloudy, cold and raining, but that didn't stop them!
Ethan kept saying that he was a "real man" and could handle the cold water. So here he is getting up the gumption to jump in! He did do it, and actually stayed in and they all played for a little while. But eventually..................
There ended up here......

School's Out For Summer.....AAGGGHHH!

Don't get me wrong, I love my kids. It's just that I don't know what I'm going to do with them all summer! Here they are with their teachers this past year. Daniel had Mrs. Sullivan, although in 6th grade they switched around to the two other six grade teachers for different subjects. Cade had Mrs. Crenshaw, and Ethan had Mrs. Bingham (left) and Mrs. Riley (right). They were team teachers.

I can't believe Daniel is on to middle school next year! As of right now, I'm still not sure which school he will attend. The closest middle school here I have not heard good things about, so we're still figuring that one out!

Nice pic

This was taken back when the boys each had their team pictures (March I think). Dennis got a free coach and sons picture done. I thought it turned out really good. Unfortunately we only got two smaller size pictures, but at least we got something for free!

I don't have any new pictures to put on other than the ones I just did. Our camera is kind of bulky and not easy to pull out fast. It's too big to put in my purse, I would love something smaller! So the baseball regular season is done now, but Daniel and Cade's age both have playoffs, and then something about all-star teams. I'm not quite sure how all of that works yet. It's getting hot to play a game and watch one! The last game was very warm to say the least!

Last day of school is on Thursday, then the summer boredom begins!

Dennis recently got called as the Young Men's President, so he will be busy with that stuff. Daniel will be going to scout camp this summer for a little while.

I had a nice Mother's day. The kids all made things in Primary with candy bars so I got three! Ethan had made me a lot of cards throughout the whole week. Dennis even made dinner!

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday!

Long Awaited Pinewood Derby Pics

So I know that everyone has been dying to see the infamous Pinewood derby pictures. So here they are! Cade tied for forth with his only fellow webelo. ( Ok, so Dennis and I just had a discussion about how to spell that word when you are talking about just one boy)

Braeden is in the group picture on the back left with the green shirt. His car surprised everyone, including me!

And then of course we have the three boys, acting very boy like. And then Ethan as he was getting his tropy and certificate. I took some other pictures but they turned out too blurry so I just deleted them. I tried to get pictures of the actual track with the cars racing, but they turned out blurry too. My batteries were going out I think.

Splash Park

I've had these pictures on my camera for awhile and I'm finally doing something with them. Back in mid April the kids were out of school on a Friday for Spring day break. Silly, I thought, when they had just been out of school a whole week for Spring break. To do something different we went to a park in Peoria that I hadn't been to before. It was a fun park and had a splash park with it.
Cade was having a bad attitude that day so he got in trouble and had to sit by me while the other kids played in the water. This is his "I'm trying not to smile look" I loved this pic I got of Ethan. It's his "oh great, mom is taking another picture" look.
I like this picture of Daniel too. It's not posed or anything, and I got him just walking and bouncing the ball. I can tell that Daniel is getting older, and outing like this don't quite entertain and amuse him as much.
I finally worked at Cade and got him to semi-smile!

Visitng Teaching Coordinator

My calling in this ward right now is the Visiting Teaching Coordinator. It is kind of a challenging calling. It never fails when I think that I have things figured out, then something else needs to be changed. I would welcome anyone's input or ideas if you have ever been in this calling before. Any organizational ideas would be welcomed!

I haven't taken any new pictures lately, although I still need to get the pinewood derby pics on here. This last weekend we got together with Dennis's family. His brother Doran blessed his new baby, and we went to his cousin Garrett's wedding reception. If you know anything about the Farar family you know that it's always a party and crazy when everyone get's together. The cousin's love it though! Thanks to Darren and Cody for letting us all come over and create havoc!!!
